Most international flights land in Port Moresby.  Whilst the city does not resemble the rest of Papua New Guinea, take some time to explore the attractions there.  For a comprehensive look at PNG culture visit the National Museum and PNG Arts.  If you have a full day then visit Varirata National Park, the traditional hunting land of the tree-dwelling landowners, which is now home for the Bird of Paradise, Kingfishers, Doves, Cuscus and Wallabies.
